I’d like to share some exciting news, the active chapter has several charity events planned such as the Gmu Stream Clean up and the Gmu Relay for Life. Alumni support not only helps us with the financial needs of planning and executing these events, but also makes a big difference to our members just knowing they are being supported by all of our alumni.  We would like to offer our latest design of TKE Rush shirt to any interested alumni. A suggested donation amount of $25 dollars will go to support our efforts for these upcoming events. The 2013 TKE Mu Omega Alumni Association Bracket Challenge registration is now open! The challenge will be presented at no additional cost to our members, but there is a special incentive!

This year’s prize will be $200 for the highest scoring Alumni Member.

All members and friends of the association can join our challenge and create a bracket for free. All Active Alumni Members who have supported the association with a $25 Annual Membership Endowment or greater gift BY THE START OF THE TOURNAMENT will be eligible to win this year’s prize, one of the “perks” of being a supportive, active Alumni Member! The active member with the highest score after the championship will be selected as the winner.

So if you’ve already shown your support for calendar year 2013, make sure you fill out a bracket and take a shot at the prize!

2013 Annual Member Endowment

Show your support for the Alumni Association and the active TKE chapter at GMU by contributing an Annual Member Endowment for 2013!These endowments are an easy way to show your support each year, and help us sustain our goal of continuing the legacy of TKE at GMU. This level of support is geared towards continuing our operations since we are able to function at a very low overhead. All additional funds collected are channeled to support scholastic achievements in the active chapter, to donate towards philanthropic efforts, and to hold social and brotherhood events for our Members and friends. Additional support or donations are always welcome and make a big impact!

Homecoming Agenda

Schedule for Saturday Feb 16th

1PM Tailgate Begins – Lot K Block Party New location this year!! Our tent location is TBD, but look for our Logo Banner! Catering will be provided by Velocity Five for our Members and their guests as available.  This is a BYOB event.

4PM Basketball Game – Patriot Center – Some tickets may be available through Friday, no gaurantees

5:45PM Roads will begin closing to prepare for Fireworks Display Please consider these closures if planning to drive to Brion’s.

~6:30PM After Party – Brion’s Grille – After Party Ticket Pre-Sale will conclude Friday, Feb 15th at Noon. Immediately following the conclusion of the game and fireworks.  Guest List will be at entrance to Brion’s. Wristbands will be issued to ticket-holders for private area & buffet access. $30 Tickets will also be available for sale to our members and their guests at the door.

Initiation update and Newsletter

As mentioned on our Facebook page, last night the Mu Omega chapter of Tau Kappa Epsilon initiated 14 new men into the Bond. Congrats to the Gamma Nu class! Our scroll is now up to #840.

Also, the active chapter Histor has prepared an Alumni Newsletter to keep our members up to date with chapter activities. There are some great photos included as well. Check it out below!

TKE Homecoming 2013 Brion’s Grille After-Party Tickets

There’s no better place to be after a homecoming win than at the TKE Homecoming Bash at Brion’s Grille! We are doing an all access ticket again this year which includes access to a food buffet and drink tickets, giveaways, a private party area and even a few surprises!

Tickets will be 30 dollars per person this year, and we have set up a discount for our members who support the association by contributing a 2013 Annual Member Endowment.

Credit Card payments may also be accepted in person before the day of the event, by Chris Hall.

Full price tickets will be available on the day of the event.

Grantoo lets students PLAY their tuition bills!

Mu Omega’s own Frater H. Joe Puentes joined us at our recent Annual Meeting and spoke for a few moments about a very exciting opportunity he is working on with a startup called Grantoo, who is trying to change the way students tackle the ever increasing costs of their education.

Please think of all the college students you know of and encourage them to sign up for Grantoo, and like & share liberally across email and social media!
